Story

Running to support our young people

Rob Lane, Headteacher at the fantastic Welbourne Primary School in Haringey, and James Page, Chair of Trustees, are running the Yorkshire Marathon on 20th October 2024 to raise money for the charity Horizons.

Please support us to fund game changing opportunities for children who are disadvantaged, have special education needs and disabilities or have been excluded across Haringey and Enfield in north London.

£10,000 will help pay for a week of outdoor education in Pendarren in the Brecon Beacons for vulnerable Year 6 students before they start secondary school, provide similar opportunities for students with disabilities and respite for their parents and carers, or take students excluded from mainstream schools on an educational trip abroad. These are just some of the great things Horizons will be able to do with your support.

Rob has form in marathon running so knows what he has let himself in for; James is learning the hard way what it takes. Thank you for every donation and we will give our all!
