Story
The Hepworth Feast is held on the last Monday of June each year and has taken place for hundreds of years; historically to commemorate the end of a plague in Hepworth and in more recent years to support the school and village children.
Prior to the Feast Day, on the walk and during the Public Sing, the organisers ask the public for donations to support the costs of the School Feast Day. In addition to the costs of hiring Hepworth Band, providing refreshments for the children, insurance and prizes, the Hepworth School Feast Committee also donates a £10 book token to every child in their final year at Hepworth J & I School. All the organisers volunteer their time free of charge.
We therefore ask for the community to financially support the event through donations. This year, we are collecting donations via Justgiving. The funds raised will cover the feast expenses.
Thank you for your continued support to this community event. Let’s make it a feast to remember!
