Hertfordshire Disabled Cricket Association are a voluntary group who work with people with disabilities in the community.

Creative cricket sessions are delivered to groups of peole with learning disability, physical disability, hearing impairment, visual impairmenta nd people with mental health conditions and also people who live with dementia.

By being creating we are able to add great value to groups of people though our sport in many ways. The fun of the activities bring great delight as well an instilling a chunk of physical activity to people who may have have been inactive for a while.

The sessions also help to bring a sense of mental well being as well as the physical aspect. They help to raise the levels of self-esteem and confidence in people as we give them the powers to make decisions though our games.

We are really passionate about giving everyone the opportunity to be part of a group or a team and feel that sense of belonging - we all love that, we all crave that, and for the people we work with, we supply that!!

In order for us to continue to reach out to more and more people with disabilities, we need to increase our resource pool - essentially we need more people to help us deliver our sessions and would respectfully ask if you are able to donate to our cause.

Any monies raised would help us to train people to help us deliver. It would help us to pay for venues that we use in the communities to enable the delivery. It also helps us to continue to provide specialist kit and equipment in order for us to ensure we can reach as many diverse groups as possible.
