Last November, Hannah, a much loved pupil at Eccleston St Mary's CE Primary School passed away suddenly.

This was, and still is devastating to everyone who was lucky enough to have known Hannah and heart-breaking to those that knew of her through the community. Hannah was a very special little girl, who brought joy to all who knew her. Her wonderful hugs, her infectious smile and her enthusiasm for all she did, meant no-one who knew her could ever forget her.

Eccleston St Mary's CE Primary School have been wonderful throughout these last 7 months and provided so much love and support to Hannah's classmates and friends.

This year the school has been raising funds to create a memorial garden in Hannah's honour where the children can play, reflect, learn, relax and find a peaceful spot to remember their friend.

So......... in order to raise funds for this lovely project we will be walking just over 41 miles, over the course of three days (3rd, 4th and 5th of October 2025) along the Lancaster Canal. We will be starting at Tewitfield Marina, walking down and through to Lancaster on day one, then from Lancaster to Garstang on day two, then day three is Garstang to the Ashton Basin in Preston!

We welcome anybody and everybody to join us on these walks, whether it's just for an hour, a day or the full weekend or even a pint along the way! We will also be hugely grateful for any sponsorships at all for this worthy cause. Even the smallest amount will be a huge help!
