I've raised £850 to Help fund the ongoing production of 3D Printed Visors for Medical Professionals, helping to protect them on the front line.

It is to no surprise that with the ongoing situation, PPE equipment is hard to get hold of, with front line nurses and doctors visiting patients everyday it can be worrying that they could catch this awful disease and then spread it to their loved ones.
To help combat this shortage, I have spent the last week building visor headbands for Fenland based medical teams from local GP's to Midwifes, and they love the protection it gives them when compared to no protection or insufficient PPE equipment. I have since expanded to cover areas such as Bedford.
One nurse from Godmanchester wrote the following, and hearing this made me want to help even more :
Thank you so so much you will never know how much reassurance something o simple like a visor does to the mind of a front line nurse I have a dozen nurses who will feel safer at work because of you ... so A massive thank you!
Following this I am wanting to spread positive news, there is no doubt that we see graphs each and every day that speak the negative impact that this is causing, so to combat this, ALL of our visors will be tracked and logged in a graph for you to see daily how many nurses your donations have helped protect.
The target will help cover a few things which you can see below :
- 2 Additional Printers capable of printing a total of 2 every two hours. This will help boost production
- 3D print Filament, as much as I can get my hands on. Each reel produces around 15 visors headbands.
- OHP Projector Film, Projector film you ask? This is used for the visor portion, and though not certified provides a lot more protection that just a mask. Any further suggestions for this is much appreciated.
As mentioned above around positive news, i will be building a website that will highlight all donators and a graph of how many medical professionals we have helped.
Again I would like to thank my family & friends for the support they have given me, and I am by no means done building.
