Story

HH are inviting our construction family to support us on fundraising for The Rob Burrow Centre for MND.

"First it comes for your voice. Then it takes your legs. It tries to rob you of your breath. But it can't sap your spirit."

Rob Burrows MBE was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in 2019 - two years after ending his record breaking career with Leeds Rhinos, winning eight Super League Grand Finals.

Rob has been courageously sharing his story with MND since being diagnosed at the age of 37 and has raised it's profile with the public.

Motor neurone disease (MND) affects the nerves - motor neurons - in the brain and spinal cord. It's a life shortening disease with no cure. Though it will progress, symptoms can be managed to ensure the best possible quality of life. MND can affect adults of any age but is more likely to affect people over 50. There is a 1 in 300 risk of being diagnosed with MND.

All proceeds will go to The Rob Burrow Centre for MND - to ensure that we can provide a safe haven in Leeds for people with MND.

In honour of Rob Burrow MBE HH Construction have been working with JCB to design a JCB Tracked Excavator, ensuring that Rob and his story are never far from our thoughts. The machine is due to land on our Caddick Construction sites very soon!
