I've raised £6750 to help fund a replacement clubhouse after being victims of fraud.

Hemel Hempstead Model flying club is a family orientated club with a goal this year to encourage more youngsters into the hobby by providing a clubhouse, the aim of the club house was to provide a warm, dry, and safe area for children and their guardians for learning and socialising.
A collective membership work party spent a long weekend putting in concrete foundations for the 2 shipping containers we had ‘purchased’ for the club house and moral was at an all time high after such a fantastic team effort. This moral was instantly shattered when we checked on the delivery of the containers, only to find, that the company who was on the invoice receipt, in spite of our diligent checks, knew nothing about our order! With further investigation, and discussions with the company, we established we had been a victim of fraud which has duly reported.
The club is completely devastated. Funds have gone, yet we have fantastic foundations and a club expansion plan ready to go. The club has lost the sum of £4500 to Fraud, with further investigations on replacing the club house with the specification needed and current market, replacement is going to cost more than the £4500 we had taken from us. We have had very warm and supported response from our members with donations as well, this is why we have set our target price at £6,750.
We are desperate for any help, so we can continue our clubs plans to provide a family orientated place for people to start and carry on into this great world and community of model flying. Any and all donations would be greatly appreciated and put to great use. Thank you.
