Story

In our community, the presence of a defibrillator could be the difference between life and death in the event of a cardiac arrest.

Cardiac arrest can strike anyone, at any time, and having a bystander trained in CPR alongside an automated external defibrillator (AED) can significantly increase the chances of survival—by two to four times.

However, acquiring a defibrillator comes with costs that can reach up to £2,500, not including installation and maintenance.

This is why we are rallying together as a community to raise funds for this vital project.

We are grateful to those who are able to support this cause and a local resident has generously offered their property for the installation of the defibrillator on the external wall of their barn, ensuring it is connected to electricity for immediate access. Additionally, a community first responder has provided invaluable advice on selecting suitable equipment for our needs.

To kick off our fundraising, we will be hosting a Curry and Quiz Night on March 22nd—a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together in support of this cause. Details will be shared seperately.

We invite you to contribute generously so that we can make this life-saving resource available for all.
