Story

Michael was a valued member of staff at the Lone Father's Project when he died in early 2017. He was extremely committed to the families he worked with. He loved the job and the children and fathers he helped loved him. The project was founded on the evidence that supporting fathers to remain a positive and active part of their child's life, is crucial to their development in the early years and long term success as confident and successful adults.

As Michael's friends we've felt it fitting that the money raised in his memory go towards this project to help in the important work that they do. Therefore Michael's friends (James Chapman, Ian Steven, Derick Mooney, Colin Craik, Peter Duffy, Iain Jenkins, David McKenzie, Joe Paton, Colin Macaulay, Kevin O'Hara, Tommy Mooney) are going to be challenging themselves to a 96 mile walk along the West Highland Way in early September.

We would all be very thankful for any donations however small for this great cause and in memory of a caring and genuine much loved friend and our hike for Mike.
