I've raised £3000 to support the emergency hero's - Great North Air Ambulance & Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the volunteers of the Mountain Rescue Service

The week in-between Christmas and New Year is traditionally a time to relax and unwind spending time with family. However, our world was turned upside down on the 28th December 2017, when our brother Pete together with his nephew decided to head over to the Yorkshire Dales to burn off some Christmas calories with a hike in their favourite part of the dale.
They didn't make it to their destination.
On route, something terrifying happened, and Pete's car left the road, veered up an embankment over a stone wall and tumbled down the hillside, rolling several times.
Remarkably Pete's' nephew was able to exit the car and escaped with a nasty cut and whiplash, Pete, however, was not so lucky. Thankfully an on-looker was able to phone for the emergency services they were the: Mountain rescue, police, ambulance and fire service. Such was the complexity and severity of his injuries both the Yorkshire & Great North Air Ambulances were required to support, in a critical condition Pete was then flown to James Cook hospital, Middlesbrough.
Pete remained critical and in a coma for eight weeks, but we are delighted to report that with the help of the emergency services on the day and the fantastic critical care team support at James Cook, Pete has now regained consciousness. And is making excellent progress, facing his long journey of recovery with courage and determination and is looking forward to the day he is discharged home to be with his wife and young family.
So with Pete's involvement, we are raising money for both the Yorkshire & Great North Air Ambulances and the Mountain Rescue all of whom rely on voluntary donations to ensure that they are there to save many more lives.
Please support us in supporting them.
Thank you from Pete and family x
