IMAGINE.....

... you are totally dependent upon someone to keep you alive! .....because you can’t speak, you can’t eat by yourself, you can’t walk, you can’t go to the toilet or wash yourself, you can’t turn over in bed at night, you can’t dress yourself. You have epileptic fits and you need constant medication. You cannot be left unattended for more than 30 minutes during the day. You can understand what is being said, you can laugh, you can show appreciation by your smile. You are trapped in a body that does not work!

...and you have been this way for 20 years!

... that you are the 54 year old parent of this child! It is difficult enough, physically and financially, to care for your dear child now ..... how will you manage at age 64?
