Weʼve raised £7,794 to fund the purchase of a single seated boat named in memory of George Somerset, a beloved Hild Bede rower, with any excess donations to Mind.

Story
In honour of our close friend George Somerset, we are organising a group 24-hour ergathon at the College of St Hild and St Bede in order to raise money for a physical commemoration of George.
As George was a keen rower this will be in the form of a single seated boat or a seat in HBBC’s new VIII, Lady Penelope. Any extra proceeds will be donated to the charity Mind. The event will be held in Caedmon Hall, beginning at 11am on Saturday 19th October.
Before his passing, George was keen to organise a fundraiser for Mind, therefore this is something we would like to do for him in his memory.
