    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

The Parent Council are raising funds to help pay for the next Hillhead High School Prize Giving.

Up until now, this annual event has been funded by a bequest left to the school in 1959 by whisky broker Charles Hepburn. Sadly, the Banking Collapse of 2007 has left the coffers nearly bare. Now, the Parent Council are stepping in raise funds and keep the tradition going.

If we can cover the cost of the Prize Giving it means that the School can prioritise it's own funds for other worthwhile projects - like providing free places on school trips for those who couldn't otherwise afford to take part.
