Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised
I am taking part in a charity expedition to India and the Himalayan mountains in July 2018 for 25 days. The main aim of this Expedition is to help a small village in the Spiti Valley to become more self-sufficient by building a greenhouse where they can grow crops or helping to build more classrooms for a school and teaching maths and English to the children of the village.
I am going with other students from my school and obviously one of the biggest challenges we face will be fundraising; we need to pay for flight, visas, equipment, guides, food, accommodation for the first and last nights, inoculations and building materials. I have already begun fundraising and have planned a sponsored skydive and swim, where I shall swim the height of Mount Everest, and numerous dinners and events.
Any donations are appreciated and if you wish to send a prize that I can raffle or sponsor me for one of my events please get in touch with me at firstname.lastname@example.org
