I've raised £2500 to send me on a missions trip to the Himalayas.

In 2018, I made a major life change. I decided that there was much more to life than what I was experiencing at the time. Not satisfied with material things alone, I decided to put aside everything I knew and applied to do a 6 month Discipleship Training School including a 3 month overseas outreach trip with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) in Harpenden.
By taking time to focus on greater causes than myself, I am being radically changed from the inside out and have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those who I would never normally have the privilege of interacting with. The outreach trip, at the end of March, will be to The Himalayas, somewhere I would have never imagined that I would ever visit.
The villages in this region of South Asia are amongst some of the most stunning and breathtaking landscapes with rich and vibrant culture but unfortunately, this part of the world is the 21st poorest nation and there is a heavy reality of child abuse, sex exploitation and human trafficking. Having a heart for children, it is heart-breaking to see some of the awful circumstances and conditions that they will have to go through as this generational cycle continues.
By being part of this outreach, the aim is to bring: fellowship, encouragement, relationship and help. A people group that is so far away from from popular culture and everyday conversation still needs to be noticed and seen. They are important and by being on this trip, I will be sharing the love of Jesus and visiting schools and orphanages, as well as encouraging and fellowshipping with local churches under persecution. I am looking forward to being involved in creative programs and bringing hope to people who have been burdened by hopelessness.
There is absolutely no obligation but if do you choose to donate anything at all, the money will be going towards these areas: flight fees, trekking equipment and Himalaya base camp fees. Overall, I'm hoping to raise as much support as possible. If you would like to donate anything, please do but also keep a look out for my fundraising events and spread the word!
Thanks so much,
Shina
