I've raised £3360 to Help fund a new HIPPOCAMPE wheelchair to give disabled children access to Balmedie Beach.

BALMEDIE BEACH WHEELCHAIRS
This project is a development of The Sand Bothy in Balmedie Country Park run by Belhelvie Community Trust. Working with PAMIS (Promoting A More Inclusive Society) and Aberdeenshire Council, we plan to make our beach more accessible
If you are able bodied it's easy to take a walk on the beach for granted. If you are disabled and dependent on a wheelchair to get about this can be impossible for you and your family.
We have a beautiful beach at Balmedie with miles of golden sands that you can access by the walkways and a disabled access path but with the help of these chairs we would like to give disabled children the means to reach the shoreline with their families that would otherwise be impossible to do.
Based at The Bunker, our aim is to lend out the wheelchairs on a sessional basis. To do this we need to buy all terrain wheelchairs and a hoist.
These chairs are designed with special balloon wheels to make moving over soft sand easier. They have a robust and corrosion resistant frame that will withstand the sea salt and sand.
A HIPPOCAMPE WHEELCHAIR and accessories COSTS AROUND £3200 each.
Can you please help us to raise the money?
