Story

World Life Conservation is a small yet dedicated company community interest company which provides educational visits to establishments throughout South West and Southern England. In 2018 we are beginning a new venture, this is to provide free enrichment visits to children's hospitals and hospices throughout our area and bring smiles and laughter to those children and their families in their time of need.

We would bring our wonderful range of exotic creatures for children and adults to meet and hold, from Hettie and Terence the tortoises, Bigger Betty the Giant African Train Millipede, Drogo and Littlefoot the Bearded Dragons, Charlie and Maverick the Giant African Land Snails and Katniss the Royal Python to name a few.

An ill child is every parents worst nightmare, the anxiety which it brings is heart wrenching and as a mother myself it is something which is always on my mind.

With our already over stretched services and the costs of living increasing at a rapid rate we believe that every single ounce of compassion can go a long way to positively changing lives albeit for one precious moment.

If these programmes are voluntary, why do you need money to achieve this?

Our animals are paramount to us, we have an exceptionally high level of standards and this obviously costs money, we have our own premises and over heads and this all costs money. At the moment we generate income through providing Birthday parties and educational visits to establishments but we need to up our funding so we can provide more services to those in need.

DO YOU GET PAID?

Yes and no. We only get paid a very small (10%) for every visit we do, and have our transport costs paid at 45p per mile. The rest is entirely voluntary, with us ploughing all our resources straight back into the company. We don't do this for the financial gratification or to line our own pockets with gold, we do this because we believe in making a difference.
