Story

The Hoarding Ice-Breaker Form is a FREE, non-judgemental way to start a conversation with a GP, medical professional or other trusted person if a person’s health, wellbeing or safety has been affected by issues related to clutter, disorganisation or hoarding behaviours.

No stigma, no embarrassment, just an easy way to access practical help, support and treatment.

Your donation will help subsidise:

• Professional decluttering, organising and other services for people with hidden disabilities and complex needs who wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford 1:1 help and support. Providers are carefully vetted and have appropriate insurance, Enhanced DBS checks, etc.

• Professional Organisers and Professional Hoarding Practitioners attending Fire Station Open Days and other public events, to raise awareness of the form and reduce the stigma associated with clutter, disorganisation and hoarding behaviours

• Consultancy and training services to professionals and partners, to raise awareness of the form, and educate them on the impact that mis-diagnosis and inappropriate support can have on individuals, families, professionals, communities and public services (NHS, adult social care, the Police, Fire & Rescue Services, etc) so that outcomes for patients, service users and employees can be improved.

• Development of the Hoarding Ice-Breaker Form, including translating it into other languages and adapting it for use by charities, housing associations, etc.

Thank you in advance for your support - it will not only help change lives, it could also help save lives too.
