Story
Hogs Haven Wallingford Hedgehog Rescue has just celebrated its first birthday and in their first year, Louise has rehabilitated and released over 70 hedgehogs back in to their natural habitat!
Although based in Wallingford, Hogs Haven takes Hedgehogs from a large area including all the local villages and has recently had hogs from Newbury, Wantage, Oxford and Reading.
But... she does this in her house, she recently had to say that she could not take anymore in, but then bought another 6 hutches so that she could! but they really need their own little outside hogstipal! We will are raising funds specifically to be able to build a 12ft by 12ft wooden building, with insulation and electrics, purpose built to be able to offer our little prickly friends a place to recover and be treated.
hedgehogs are now officially classified as vulnerable to extinction and it would just be heartbreaking to see them disappear from our lovely countryside.
We will be carrying out fundraising events too, in what ever form that we can, but please please support our hedgehogs and donate what you can.
Once Hogs Haven Hogstipal is open then Louise will be able to welcome volunteers to help out and support awareness of our little friends.
Please do follow them on Facebook at Hog's Haven

And you could also help at home by providing a wooden hedgehog house for your garden and supporting them with some cat food and water, but definitely not milk and/or bread as hedgehogs are lactose intolerant.
Thank you so much for your support x
