Working with Daisy Communications we’ve been delighted to support Christmas dinners for Charter House Burnley and Nelson Community Centre to bring an extra helping of festive spirit to the people of East Lancashire. Lovingly made by Daisy’s very own Catering Manager Tony Black who, for the past 8 months has also delivered meals each week to local food banks funded by Daisy Chairman and Founder Matthew Riley. This is just one of several food projects we’ve been proud to support over the Christmas holidays.

Wow what a day! Completely shattered but we’ve meals prepped, volunteers ready, hub locations in Colne, Nelson, Burnley and Accrington on standby, we’ve so much still to do but it’s coming together and we’re so grateful for all the support whether financial or practical. We still need more funding to cover the week and any shares of this Just Giving page would be great but we’re go for meals to start leaving our kitchens in 12 hours time. Absolutely delighted to have raised close to the original target of £15,000. Heartfelt thanks to all of those that have got us here. It’s so wonderful to see the community coming together to make it happen. We initially aimed to feed 1,000 children however we’ve more than double that needing support. Plans are coming together well, but because of the scale of the requirement we’re forced to raise the total needed, we estimate we need approximately £15 per child. We have come so far in 36 hours I know we can do this! Thanks again, Annette
