Lourdes is a very special religious place of moral and spiritual significance to many .It is one of the most visited pilgrimage shrines in the Christian World. It is a journey to a shrine of importance to many peoples beliefs and faith.My faith is something that is very important to me and very close to my heart. Lourdes is a place that I have wanted to visit for some years now and I have been given this fantastic opportunity to be part of a pilgrimage trip with the Archdiocese Youth Pilgrimage where I can meet people who I wouldn't usually meet and be involved in some very rewarding work with the sick and elderly. I can help to try and make difference in their lives and encourage them to fully enjoy their expereince whist at Lourdes. To be able to partake in various activities and experiences at this special place would be fulfilling and to be able to bathe in the grotto, in the sacred spring, would be so rewarding for me.This pilgrimage has been running for over 35 years and it would be wonderful to be a part of it this year.
