I've raised £200 to Eden Hall Spinal Unit

I am raising money for the Eden Hall Spinal Unit within the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Glasgow. The Queen Elizabeth National Spinal Injuries Unit is responsible for the acute and lifelong care of all adult patients in Scotland with traumatic and non-progressive spinal cord injury.
My Dad had an unfortunate serious accident on a quad bike back in October (2018) leaving him with a broken L1 (lower back). He was transferred to the outstanding Eden Hall (spinal unit )within the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. During his time here he recieved outstanding attention, care and ultimatly support which enabled him to begin an amazing recovery.
Unfortunatley unlike my dad not everyone is as lucky to walk back out through the doors of this hospital; many patients are devastatedly paralysed. Patients in this ward are facing life changing injurys. As a result the need for them to feel as comfortable as possible is crucial. Facilities need to be uptodate to ensure patients can continue receiving the most outstanding care possible, through life changing circumstances
To give a very small something back in consideration to the massive medical attention my dad recieved throughout a difficult time I have decided to get my trainers back on! Running from the Borders General Hospital, back to Hawick on Friday 8th 2019 (approx 16miles) to raise as much money as possible.
This run is in conjuction with a larger fundraiser the next week(16th february 2019). Where we hope everybody will dig deep to support such an amazing cause!
