Hello! Welcome to my fundraising page. First of all, I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit.

I have been working as a volunteer teacher at a local school in Busua, Ghana called Humpat International for almost six weeks now, yet in such a short space of time I have learned and seen so much. It has already been a very overwhelming and at times an emotional experience seeing both the school and the way people live their everyday lives compared to us.

In my time here, I have been involved in several small projects, however it would mean a lot to me to do something just that bit bigger for the children before I return home in January.

The overall aim of my project is to raise money to build two new classrooms at the school. Currently two existing classes are very crampt due to too many age groups being squeezed into a small space.This results in the children climbing over desks to move about or leave the rooms along with them fighting over resources, they are also unable to play a lot of educational games inside their classrooms which can disrupt education for many active style learners.

Every child deserves a right to education and with access to more learning space the children will receive more attention and support from their teachers, their level of education will be boosted and in the long run it may encourage them to achieve better opportunities and brighter futures!

The goal I have set has come from both my personal research and my co-ordinator at my teaching project, Ebenezer. I understand that the goal is ambitious. It would be incredible to reach this target, however I am aware of how much it is and do not expect lots of money from each donor, anything you give is truly meaningful and is appreciated, it will make a huge difference no matter how small! Every penny I receive will help the school get one step closer to completing this project!
