On 3rd June 2016, James sustained a spinal injury whilst on his stag party in Magaluf, Spain.
The injury has left him paralysed from the waist down and with limited grip in his right hand.
James was funded 6 hours of rehabilitation through the NHS at Neurokinnex in Watford. This is a specialist centre, aimed to provide rehabilitation for patients with spinal injuries. In the hours James was funded, he made excellent progress and he continues his day to day life with a positive attitude.
On 1st January 2017, I set myself a mission - to run half a marathon. For someone who is extremely unfit and has never ran before - this is a challenge! So, to spur me on in my quest to run 12 miles (without stopping). I am hoping to raise money to fund further hours for James at Neurokinnex.
I plan to run (and finish) the Boston, UK marathon on Sunday 17th April 2017. Any sponsors, no matter how small will be gratefully received.
