    Story

Thank you for visiting the JRC team fundraising page.

This winter, we are raising money for Homeless Hampers, which aims to bring hope and support to homeless people in Yorkshire.http://www.homelesshampers.org.uk
Homelessness has doubled since 2010. Over 120,000 children across Britain face spending this Christmas homeless and in temporary accommodation, according to analysis by Shelter.

Homeless Hampers provides essentials in the form of hampers to those who are in shelters or on the streets. Their aim is to challenge the public's opinion of the roofless and boost community engagement with those in need.

Homelessness is an issue that the JRC team feels strongly about. Individuals within the team are regular supporters of both Simon on the Streets and Shelter. As a less well-known charity, we have chosen to support Homeless Hampers as a team to raise the profile of the valuable work they do in providing both companionship and emergency supplies to people who will be spending this winter sleeping on the streets of Yorkshire.

To raise money, the JRC team will be carrying out a range of different fundraising activities in the office on our lunch breaks. Look out for us making fools of ourselves for your cold hard cash! We’ll be live streaming the sillier ones through our social media accounts for your viewing pleasure:

All donations of any size will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

We will also be supporting Homeless Hampers by volunteering and helping distributing the hampers across Leeds and Bradford. If this is something you're interested in, you can sign up on their website. http://www.homelesshampers.org.uk
