Story

Imagine living in a village where a helping hand is never far away; that’s what Holme Helpers is all about.

We’re a completely volunteer-run, unincorporated charitable organisation supporting our community with food parcels, prescription collections, shopping help, practical tasks, and friendly check-ins for residents who may be isolated. We also run village events to bring people together and reduce loneliness.

With rising costs like insurance and admin, any support - big or small - helps us keep services running and goes directly back to those in need. Every donation makes a huge difference to the households we support.

If you are considering making a contribution, here is a look at what your generosity could achieve:

✨ £10 could provide a standard emergency food parcel to help feed a family for 3 to 4 days.

✨ £20 could provide an emergency food parcel, plus vital toiletries and household cleaning items for a family.

✨ £50 could support a family of five with emergency food, toiletries, and household essentials for 2 to 3 weeks.

Whether you can spare £5 or £50, every single penny goes directly towards helping someone in our village.

If you or someone you know could use a hand, want to join our fantastic team of volunteers, or would like to know more about us, please get in touch.
