Story
A few weeks ago I was out for an early morning run. The weather was doing what is usually does in summer, chucking it down. I came across a homeless person sleeping under a railway bridge. At first I thought it was a dead body and was very relieved when I heard him breathing. It was an upsetting experience. No one should be sleeping rough in our local areas and I decided I would try and help in some small way. I contacted some of my friends and asked if they would join me in a run to raise funds and awareness of a local charity working to help the homeless, The Bradford Soup Run.
So on July 18th myself, Dave Stephenson, Ruth Thackray, Jason Feeney, Robbie Williams and Andy Gibbons, 5 of my team mates and valued friends from Bingley Harriers, will be running from Holme Moss on the Yorkshire Derbyshire border to Hope Hill, Baildon, close to our Homes. That’s a distance of 42 miles. We want to raise funds and awareness of this very deserving cause. Please support us in our efforts by donating to this just giving page.

They say charity begins at home.....but what if you haven’t got a home?
