In 2019, Rebecca spent some time volunteering at a school in rural Kenya. Roko 20 Academy provide a free & quality education to Orphans & Children from disadvantaged backgrounds aged from 3 to 18yrs. It was quite clear during Rebecca's time at Roko, that there was a need for a safe space for the children through the night as well as during school hours. Unfortunately, many of the children walk miles to get home and are faced with no food or water, a hard muddy floor to sleep on and abuse from the people that are supposed to care for them. We decided as a team to raise funds to create a boarding facility for the children to provide the food they need and a safe place to sleep.

The team at Home Instead Harrogate Ripon and Thirsk are taking on the challenge of the Yorkshire Three Peaks on 1st October.
