I've raised £2000 to keep the vulnerable warm this Christmas and ensure they do not go off grid and miss out on the government support available.

As we all go through the cost-of-living crisis, with rising energy prices and increasing bills we ask you to think about those who are vulnerable in Bexhill-on-Sea.
At HUG we support the homeless and get them in to sheltered accommodation where they should be safe and warm.
Due to the rising energy price those in this sheltered accommodation are already finding it impossible to pay for their prepay energy bills.
Some have no choice but to disconnect from the national grid due to the expensive standard daily rate, even if they don't use their electricity or gas.
As a result, they will get NONE of the government support coming in October onwards.
We know that times are hard for everyone right now, but even a £1 donation to HUG would help some of the town's most vulnerable people through winter.
We appreciate any support you can give with this. Normally there is an eating vs heating challenge, but this year it has become very urgent. Please help us protect those who need help. Many thanks for your time.
As part of the fundraising campaign, Sackville ward town councillor Cllr Elly Gibson is running the Tonbridge half-marathon on Sunday 9 October to raise money for HUG. Please sponsor her if you can.
