Story

The Homeless Shoe Box Appeal is a national project, set up by volunteers, and the filled boxes are then donated to a variety of charities such as St Petroc in Exeter, Salvation Army, Trevi House in Plymouth, etc. There are a few drop off points in Exeter including some Co-Op stores, but it would be great to get enough boxes to donate to drop off points in Torquay and Plymouth too.

I have priced up what a box could cost and for as little as £6.75 we could give a homeless person a box containing deodorant, baby wipes, shower gel, a hairbrush, toothbrush and toothpaste, sanitary products, some gloves, a bar of chocolate, and a tube of sweets. A bag of dog treats could be included as an optional extra, and of course we need a mixture of male and female products.

Also any thermals, hats, blankets, etc which you no longer want or use would be much appreciated. We will of course need shoe boxes or gift bags too, any donations gratefully received, not just money!
