We are honoured to announce that Honington Military Wives Choirs are singing at the Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate in Ypres Belgium on 25/10/2025. This profoundly significant event commemorates those who have given their lives in military service during WW1.

The Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate in Ypres, Belgium, is a daily act of remembrance held every evening at 8 p.m. where buglers from the Last Post Association play the Last Post, a traditional salute to the fallen, in memory of the soldiers of the British Empire who died in the Ypres Salient during World War

The Menin gate is officially the Menin Gate Memorial to the Missing contains names on stone panels of 54,395 Commonwealth soldiers who died in the Salient but whose bodies have never been identified or found.

The choir is fundraising to enable us to cover costs such as travel and accommodation.

Honington Military Wives Choirs is one of over 70 choirs across the UK and overseas, the Military Wives Choirs is a charity that connects nearly 2000 women in the military community and creates a support network through the power of singing.
