I've raised £1000 to fund sessions for dementia sufferers and their carers at Holy Trinity Margate.

We (the Hoodeners, of St Nicholas-at-Wade with Sarre: see hoodening.org.uk ) have raised money each year since 1966 for deserving local causes - the photo shows us presenting a cheque in 2015. This year we're collecting for Holy Trinity Margate's dementia group - we've set up this page as they're an "excepted charity" so doing all the paperwork for JustGiving would take time, and we want to collect during our usual season, i.e. the week before Christmas. All money donated here (and all cash put into Dobbin's nosebag at the performances) will be sent to HTM.
The funds are used to hire a venue, book a singer, provide refreshments and so on, which typically costs up to GBP 100 a time, so we're hoping we'll raise enough to fund one year of these activities. If you've any queries about the use of funds, please do ask Julie Thurman-Newell at HTM (contact details via their website above). For Hoodening performances, check our own website (also above).
