I've raised £500 to Help the Hope Centre, Nepal, continue to function, offering vital support to disabled people in remote areas of Nepal

The Hope Centre supports disabled people in rural areas of Nepal through their centre in Gulmi and outreach programmes in hard to reach communities. They undertake community-based projects and programmes that improve mobility, health, education, human rights and legal counselling. They also provide skills’ training and employment, helping to reduce social stigma and exclusion.
The programmes run by the Centre are designed to promote self-help and rehabilitation, helping disabled people live with dignity, self-worth, independence and with the basic rights you'd expect in a community. In a country that has had a long struggle with militancy, gender inequality, caste system, discrimination, human rights’ violations, political mismanagement and poverty, this is a hard challenge.
Ganga is the inspirational leader of the Hope Centre. She is also a double leg amputee, having lost her legs as a baby by rolling into an open kitchen fire (still a common cause of limb loss in Nepal). She has tirelessly and selflessly grown the Hope Centre to the successful organisation it is today however in recent years funds have seen a gradual decline.
To keep offering the remarkable, life changing services the Hope Centre desperately needs operational funds. Without much needed help, today, they risk having to downsize operations, let talented (mostly disabled) staff go (who will struggle to find 'mainstream' work) and be unable to support those most vulnerable.
Please help us save and change lives.
Thank you
