Story

Millom Town is such a tight, supportive community. As an off-comer, I didn't know how Millom would accept me, but I needn't have worried because Millom folk are a rare breed. Caring when people need care, supportive when people need support and kind when people need kindness.
Throughout our lives we're all touched by sadness and unhappiness at some time or other and we all need someone to hold us, smile with us, cry with us or just hug us silly !!
In Millom we are so lucky so have a Support Group like this, that welcomes every one, every age, every gender with any issues ranging from serious illnesses to just needing that someone to talk to.
Our Support Group offers Hope and a way to Cope with whatever you're trying to deal with. You don't have to go it alone.
We have a gathering every Tuesday at 7pm at the Millom Baptist Church on Crown Street.
We also offer a bereavement group beforehand starting at 6pm.
There's always freshly baked cakes and goodies to enjoy and amazing friendships to be made.
But to keep our group going ... we need to try and raise some cash to keep on supporting the community of Millom. When I was at my lowest 😢 the group offered me a lifeline. Friendship, laughter, advice and love ❤ You never know when you might just need a friend x
We need to raise money now to keep this amazing group going. It costs us nearly £800 a year just to have a place to meet with lighting and heating.
Please be kind enough to keep our group going by donatating just a £1 to help pay for our room hire and subsidise group outings and events to bring people back into the community and make them smile once more xx
But don't just sponsor us x come and join us x
Thank you for taking the time to read our pledge x
