Upon meeting my dearest friend Hori quite some time ago, I recall asking him what his one wish in life was- he told me it was to become a man. Although those words may seem odd in the eyes of others, the feelings of intense gender dysphoria and constant bodily discomfort which Hori often felt, were no strangers among our conversations.
Hori is a 17 year old born as a female and has grown up with bodily discomfort, it is time to change this.
Our aim is to collect enough funds for Hori's chest surgery before his 18th birthday- the age which he will be able to go through with the surgical operation. So far not being able to finance this final part of his journey has had a huge affect on Hori's confidence, as a friend the difference this surgery will make to his wellbeing and emotional health will be truly amazing to see and he will finally be able to be happy with his own body.
