Horsell CofE Junior School needs a new nurture room.

The world can be challenging and we would like to support our student's emotional wellbeing through a safe and welcoming nurture room. This would be used for the school's ELSA support, counselling for some children and a meeting space for professional services. The children will have access to resources which support their play, communication and understanding of their emotions. The outside of the hut is currently tired and in need of repair. The funding will mean we can 'wrap' the outside of the building in a colourful and inviting print. It will be a room designed for our children.

Our children are increasingly requiring additional emotional support and we believe this space, separate from the main school, will give our children a special quiet area where they can speak safely about any worries or concerns with key adults.

Part of this funding will support the training of staff from Nurture UK, and therefore enable us to provide high quality emotional support for our most vulnerable children.
