    Story

    Hello

Like most organisations and businesses across the UK Hot Bed Press has been hit by the coronavirus with income streams lost or diminished and the likelihood of a longer term effect on income at least for this year; possibly the next 18 months.

Hot Bed Press is not funded. We are proud to be an example of a successful self-financing arts organisation, built on the popularity of our courses, our membership, studio provision, exhibitions and outreach. We like to think that we do things differently as an independent not-for-profit art organisation and one of the largest open access print workshops in the UK.

In April we launched Hot Bed Editions with the aim to raise up to £10,000 this year from saleswhilst at the same time supporting and promoting artists & designers, (see hotbedpress.bigcartel.com). Unfortunately this won’t be enough to make up for the loss of 2 course programmes and 3 events plus outreach workshops, exhibitions, and more which we have had to postpone or cancel during and post lockdown. We estimate the loss of income to be around £25,000 - £30,000 this year.

So this is where you can help us…

By donating to Hot Bed Press through our Just Giving site you are helping us to continue our good work and to keep our great workshop alive and kicking. We would appreciate any donation large or small; it will all go towards keeping the workshop fully staffed, and the resources well maintained.

We are aiming to get at least £5,000 through donations, which will go on essential equipment and upkeep.

If you can donate we would be very grateful; if not please spread the word about us and what we do, perhaps book on future course or purchase one of our Hot Bed Editions prints; we are planning the launch of more throughout the year. It all helps. We want to be here and going strong and to promote and support print in every way we can for years to come.

We really appreciate all your support!
