I've raised £150 to build a water-well for ebola orphans in Sierra Leone.

Sierra Leone has a population of just over 7 million, 48% of which are living in extreme poverty. Sierra Leone is one of the 10 poorest countries in the world, and following the deadly Ebola outbreak of 2014, an estimated 12,000 children were orphaned; most of them are not attending school, and over a quarter of those under 14 are in child labour.
Last year I ran the Westminster Mile with the students of the school I work at and we raised £1740. With that we developed a sports programme for children registered to the charity Street Sports Hope . This year we want to provide a water-well next to the sports facility to provide the local community with a sustainable water source.
As a school teacher I see daily the effect education has on young people. I fight for the right for children to be children and be able to play and learn without having to work and search for food with hungry stomachs.
This year I am going to run the Westminster Mile again and try and do it in under 7 mins, (last year I clocked 7.50 so it's a big ask of myself). Your sponsor money could be just the incentive I need to smash my own record....and you will be helping a group of children who could really do with some help right now. Thanks!
