The children and families at How Wood School are taking part in a Sponsored Fun Day and Colour Run on Saturday 24th June 2023 and are collectively trying to raise funds for new play apparatus on the Key Stage 2 playground. The existing one is nearing the end of it's life and is closed for repairs more often that it is open for play. The repairs don't last long becuase the framework is old and in some places, beyond repair.

Physical activity is vital to the education of our children becuase after playing, moving, and being physically active, children are better able to focus in class. It also enables them to build their confidence and learn new skills in addition to supporting children’s overall sense of well-being, and mental health.

The cost of new equipment is in the region of £15,000, which is a HUGE sum for a small school like How Wood to raise. However TOGETHER we can achieve big things. Please give generously.
