Story

As part of the development of our new cricket club site in Moor Lane, we have now made a massive commitment to the construction of a 3 Lane Outdoor all weather, training facility. Based upon ECB approval we can obtain a grant to part fund this fantastic facility. However 25% of the cost has to be funded by the club itself.

I am sure you will agree this is a major development for the club and for all of our members….most importantly; the Juniors. However, we need all of your assistance to raise this money.

The junior membership of the club is growing at pace especially with the introduction of the popular All-Stars programme. This new facility is essential to retain their interest in the sport in the future.

Our aim is to make Hawarden Park Cricket Club a North Wales Cricket Hub and a Centre of Excellence and this is the first step on the road to that achievement.

Over 16 and Senior Challenge – 1st July –‘Lyke Wake Walk’

A major challenge to complete a 40 mile walk in one day across the North Yorkshire Moors. We need a minimum of 20 people to sign up to this challenge to reach our fundraising target.

Juniors - walk up Moel Fammau = 3rd June

Obviously 40 miles may be a bit of a stretch for some of the Juniors (and parents) so we're looking for as many of the juniors to participate in a walk up nearby Moel Fammau on June 3rd. Further details will be forwarded over the next few weeks.
