About the Challenge

Thanks for taking the time to visit the JustGiving page for the 2022 H&PS Charity Challenge, Who Dares Wins (4th - 6th August)!

Who Dares Wins is a physical and mental challenge in the Brecon Beacons. The challenge will be tackled in teams and includes an ascent of Pen-y-Fan, with teams encountering a number of problem-solving checkpoints along the way. We will be raising money for two amazing charities, Combat Stress and UK Stroke Association, in memory of Steve Maben. Steve was a much-loved Accenture colleague who sadly passed away last year.

About the Charities

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

Stroke Association - Stroke is a leading cause of adult disability in the UK. Two-thirds of people who survive a stroke find themselves living with a disability. For stroke survivors, research means everything for their recovery. But in the UK, far less is spent 'per survivor' on research into stroke than on research into any other health condition. Stroke Association is the only organisation dedicated to funding research into ongoing rehabilitation that could help stroke survivors live fuller, happier lives.
