Story
24/5/2018 - After seeing a post about an injured cat that had been in someone's garden all day, one of our lovely fosterers Will dashed out to help. Luckily she let him pick her up and he took her straight to our emergency vets, Vets4Pets Leeds Birstall. The vets think she has been involved in a rta and as you can see, she has open wounds on both front paws and claws missing. She is in a lot of pain and is also very dehydrated. She has had pain relief and fluids and once settled, she will be sedated in order to have her wounds cleaned and dressed.
26/5/2018 - Dwarf Update: The worst part of cat rescue is making the difficult life and death decisions. Poor Dwarf is so badly injured (the wounds are down to her tendons) and each time she has them cleaned, she has to be sedated. The vets phoned us and said that the regular sedation and high doses of pain relief would be impacting the unborn kittens and we had to make the horrible decision to give the vets permission to neuter Dwarf in order to save her life. We as a rescue believe that every life is worth fighting for and are devastated that it came to this however there was no other option as the chances of survival for Mum and babies was extremely low, and Dwarf would have been suffering daily without her treatment. This poor girl has been let down by her irresponsible owner who didn't get her neutered or microchipped. Please neuter your cats so that you will never have to make decisions like this!! Fingers crossed, Dwarf begins to heal so that she can then experience her happy ending in a furever home.
27/5/2018 - Dwarf Update - Spoken to the vets this morning and they said she is doing well. She is needing her dressings changed daily and regular pain relief so she will be staying with them for at least a few more days. All the staff have fallen in love with her as she's a real sweetheart ❤️ We have asked them to buy her some chicken as a treat 😂 she definitely deserves it!! We really appreciate all the donations towards her ever increasing vet bill and we will keep you posted with her progress!
29/5/2018 - Dwarf Update - We have just spoken to the vets who have said that Dwarfs left leg is not improving and that it appears to not have blood flow going to her paw anymore. She also has a temperature which indicates an infection has started. They feel that the best thing for Dwarf and her recovery would be to amputate the leg. In regards to her right leg, there are slight signs of improvement and they are hopeful this will continue however she may still need surgery on it as well. She requires 24hour care so will be remaining at the vets so they can ensure she is not in pain and her dressings are changed regularly. The plan is for her leg to be amputated in the morning whilst they put her under for the dressing change. We will let you know how her surgery goes!

We have also had a huge amount of cats and kittens come into our rescue within the last couple of months who have needed vet treatment.

Kitten season is well and truly here and with that comes injured tom cats, pregnant cats and lots and lots of kittens!

Our policy is what ever treatment the cat/kitten needs, it gets. It doesn't matter on the cost; as long as they are not suffering, we will fight for them!
We currently have over 8 cats in foster who have had operations or are undergoing treatment at the vets which has left us with a very large vet bill.
If anyone is able to donate towards this, we would really appreciate
