Bee Glade, a home for Bees
We help educate gardeners and beekeepers to create wildflower meadows, and keep hygienic natural bees, in Bee Glades in suitable habitats in the UK.
I keep bees in London and the south of England. I have bees in small and large gardens, on roofs and above garages, on waste land and in green meadows. My methods are not commercial, so the Honey we produce is not tainted with Sugars and bee fondant, that may compromise the healing qualities of the local honey.
Local Honey is well known to help people with a variety of problems, significantly the bees collect pollen which when taken in even small doses really aids people. I would like Bee Glade to educate people in the benefits of local honey with your help.
But we are running out of space, and time.
We need more people to help us, more land, and to grow more suitable plants for bees to survive, our survival depends on it.
I hope with your money we can expand and advertise, make a registered charity and where possible make local honey available to all.
I am regularly asked to remove bees from a variety of locations, the can be pesky critters, they will swarm and land in, Chimneys, (Dangerous when fires are lit) Schools, (I have removed bees from playgrounds in three schools, even my old school; Bousfield school in Kensington) from Trees, Lofts, under buildings (including under the South African Embassy building on Camden Hill road!)
Usually removals are necessary for development and removal and rehousing bees whilst a tricky and sticky job is better than destruction of hives. I need to help others develop land that is suitable and sustainable for this worthy enterprise. As Einstein said without Bees the world would only last a few years. Mankind has destroyed many habitats, and has exacerbated the problem by using dangerous insect killing chemicals.
I have been keeping bees for many years and have been a mentor for many students. I am registered with the LBKA (London Bee Keepers Association) as a mentor and bee removal expert.
Your money will help me to search for land, to rehouse bees, and put them out of harms way, whilst feeding and caring for them, nurturing the whole environment.
So many bees are dying because of our actions, with your money we can make a difference. Donating to Bee Glade, will help you be glad you have helped.
I would like to help others develop unused land, green and brown land for keeping bees. I have been looking at keeping bees in all sorts of places, whilst improving the habitat there for sustainable beekeeping.
