Heba Said (@HebaSaidSEO ) is an Egypt-based freelance SEO, member of the SEO community and Women in Tech SEO community (@techseowomen ) who's been struggling and I'd like to show her how can the SEO community come together to help her. Heba has a life-long dream of becoming a mum and for that she left a remote SEO position to embark on a painful IVF cycle.

At the end of this cycle, she had been told she was pregnant with twins and was elated. Unfortunately, she began to feel pain on the 29th week of her pregnancy, which resulted in losing one of her twins, Yassin. Her 2nd twin, Yusuf was born on the 29th week but unfortunately suffers from stage 5 retinopathy of prematurity "ROP" and lost his vision during his stay at the NICU.

Yusuf needs more surgery and the family needs all the support they can get, as work is probably a distant memory at this point, and this family needs to know someone is thinking of them, caring for their wellbeing. Let's help Heba and her family get back on her feet by opening our hearts and wallets for this important cause.

Heba's story (as told by her on Aug 11, 2020 ):

I have been married for almost 10 years. Fighting infertility then going through a lot of trials from natural to ICSI then finally IVFs. It been a long painful stressful expensive journey. Full of lost, pain and depression.

But we got through it. And I had hopes that at the end of this roller coaster l will be a mum. It all happen fast. I had a couple of very weak not graded even (Yes they grade them according to development) frozen embryos. So I thought lets do it

So I can start a new IVF cycle. I left my job and found a remote position to concentrate on my future plan. But God have his reasons. I actually got PREGNANT 2 weeks later I found that l am not only Preggie I am having TWINS

I was over the moon. I am finally getting all I dreamed about a good job, and in months I will hold my baby boys. By 24 week I started to get sick. Something was wrong. I went a couple of time to the ER, there were no explanation just twins pregnancy complications they said

They gave me the first steriod shots fit the lungs. By my 28w6d my water broke for my lower placenta (Baby1). I went to the ER, called my doctor and he said it's very early for delivery and ur babies will need expensive NICU. They left me another 24 hr and gave me another steroid course but I was labouring, losing baby1 water. Plus my CRP was kinda high. On July 29th my 29w0d. I got Yassin (Baby 1) and Yusuf (Baby 2). My boys were very tiny they broke my heart to them, as I know they will struggle.

Baby 1 condition was the worst. He lost weight and reached 800gm, can't breath on his own, got incomplete heart vessel and was having an internal bleeding. Due to financial issues I moved Baby 2 first to a gov. Hospital cause his case was better.

He is on NICU and on nasal ventilation, still he is losing weight until he get to be fed, which we dunno when. Then after Baby 1 case was better we moved him too to a gov hospital. I was in pain, I felt that they will not give him the care he was given in the private Hospital. But what should I do, they need time, only time and they will get home... Baby 1, needs RBC and plasma from day to day. Okay he will get better.

Then yesterday they told me come and see Baby 1. I was excited and surprised, we couldn't find him blood this day. They never let me see him since he moved. I now know why they let me see him. He was Dead. I lost Yassin. All I thought about is I killed him by moving him so tiny and helpless, I am devastated. My Baby died and I am still here...

I can't even describe what is happening inside me now. I can't survive this, but I have to fight for Baby 2. My heart is broken and will never be whole again. I love them both so much as I felt them both inside my womb after 9 years of misery.

I only pray now for Baby 2 to have a strong lungs and heart, to keep fighting as they are great fightere since they were very weak ungraded embryos.

Yusuf still in the NICU. He is facing some preterms issues. I am trying to get back to my normal day routine, but it's not easy. Maybe I should get back to work at least until Yusuf is home

    Oct 1, 2020 update:

My Yusuf diagnosed as Stage 5 retinopathy of prematurity "ROP". He lost his vision during his stay at the NICU. We are going through a surgery tomorrow, it will be one of many to come. These surgeries will not make Yusuf see again but it would save part of the retina.

    Oct 12, 2020 update :

I will not give into depression. I will not give into PND. I will not lose hope for my Yusuf. He might be blind. But he will grow in a strong loving family, he will be a man with all the abilities in the world, as he will see what we can't see. He will see with his heart
