Story

Join Humanity Hallows in support of the ‘Be a Santa To A Senior‘ festive campaign to give a gift to local elderly people alone this Christmas.

We are fundraising to raise money (and gifts) for elderly people in our local community who might be lonely and isolated over the festive season.

‘Be a Santa’ is a wonderful initiative that brightens up the lives of many elderly people in the local area, who would otherwise be left behind at Christmas. The aim is simple. We want everyone to receive a gift and a card. We want everyone to feel appreciated. That’s why Humanity Hallows is encouraging your contribution. It doesn’t have to be much – even a small card or gift can make someone smile.

We will be using funds raised to buy special treats including sweets, chocolate, biscuits, bath and pamper sets of all kinds, gloves, scarves, puzzle books, calendars and fleece throws...

Alison Broadhurst, Director of Home Instead South Manchester and North Trafford, said,

“Last year we were able to collect and give out over 750 presents and Christmas cards and make a difference in so many different people’s lives.

“We work with a whole variety of different people working in the community to ensure that the gifts and cards reach the people who will really value receiving a gift – from the Fire service, to pharmacy delivery drivers, to the community nursing team, to local hospitals, care homes and sheltered accommodation as well as local advocacy services and social workers."

Get involved and help us make a difference!
