Assalaamu’alikum ,

Jamiatul Uloom Al-Islamia Lalkhan Bazar, popularly known as Lalkhan Bazar Madrassa, is a well-known Qawmi Madrassa situated in the Lalkhan Bazar area of the port city Chittagong. The Jamia was founded by Mufti Izharul Islam in 1981, currently with over 1000 students and 56 teachers.

This madrassa has contacted my father Hazi Shamsuddin Ahmed Khan to request financial assistance. Due to Covid-19 lockdown they are in financial crisis and very much in need of our help.

A madrassa is at the heart of any local muslim community. The role of this madrassa is to help children learn more about Islam and to nurture their moral and spiritual development.

We kindly ask for your contribution. In doing so, we will earn the reward of Sadaqah Jariyah, our urgent help will continue giving benefit for students now and generations to come, Insha’Allah. Thousands of scholars and Hafez e Quran will emerge from this madrassa and their contributions and services to the Muslim Ummah will remain immeasurable and so will be the good deeds (Hasana) that keep adding and multiplying to our individual account of good deeds. For every child who learns the QURAN, we will also get the same reward, Insha’Allah.
