We want to support the the anti ogling campaign that was launched last year in Pakistan by one of Humjolie's founding members.The campaign aims at highlighting the serious issue of female harassment in the Pakistani society and to create a public discourse on female harassment. A lot of people brush the issue of female harassment off by claiming there are more pertinent issues in Pakistan such as terrorism, unemployment, health etc. We ask the society, is the marginalisation of half of our population not a serious enough issue?

For many women in Pakistan, the simple act of leaving the house can be uncomfortable, even intimidating -- the probing gaze of the opposite sex is never far away.Ogling women is a serious problem in the Pakistani society. Not only it amounts to invasion of a woman personal space, it makes her feel uncomfortable and insecure. To ogle women is inherently demeaning, disrespectful, and objectifying. Gender inequality and issues that have adverse impact on women's life and well being don't get much attention in the mainstream media.
