Story

I am doing two runs to raise funds for Aphasia Re-Connect (Registered Charity Number 1176125). Aphasia is where people have difficulty with their language or speech, often as a result of having had a stroke. Aphasia Re-Connect does great work by creating a peer support network of people living with aphasia. They have groups and meetings and get-togethers which are incredibly inspiring. The charity has adapted brilliantly during the pandemic through Zoom and other means. But the charity is small and needs all the help it can get.

Why did I choose to support this charity? I have come across Aphasia Re-Connect, through Jane, my wife, who is a speech and language therapist, and seen and heard how effective their work is.

I completed the London 10km on the 25th July (no lasting damage!) and am now getting in training for the Windsor Great Park half marathon on 26th September. Really looking forward to this event, which is probably one of the best runs you can do.

Any support you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much.
