Story

We're getting married this summer. However, having both left home a few years back, we have more than enough odds and ends to begin a married home with and plenty of time to fill in any gaps!

So, we would love instead to kit out a different house. New Generation is a grassroots charity in Burundi, doing amazing work with children affected by the conflict and corruption in the country. Burundi is a tiny place (we definitely had to look it up on the map), with few NGO's present due to the violence. This place does incredible things, with an incredible story behind it (see links below for further details!). They're developing new houses for children, and it would be such a special gift to be able to support one of them. So in the spirit of a John Lewis gift list, here are some things we would absolutely love........

Mosquito net x10 £2.50

Plates x32 £2.90

Bed Sheet x32 £6.20

Kirundi Bibles x16 £6.95

Towels x16 £8.30

Board games and other games x6 £15.00

Storage boxes x8 £16.50

Storage boxes for activities x3 £16.55

New gate handle x1 £20.70

Curtains and rails x4 £41.00

One seater sofa main padding/cushioning x2 £41.00

Timber bedroom storage shelves x3 £62.00

Football posts/net x1 £82.80

Three seater sofa main padding/cushioning x1 £125.00

Fridge x1 £207.00

Give and write on a specific thing to give towards, or just a general donation. The hugest thanks to all who give- it really is such a special gift that we couldn't buy ourselves!
