For several years, the lovable Hunter, a one-eyed ginger and white cat has frequented many a guest sun bed at the Sunrise Oasis hotel in Protaras, near to Lidl.

Sadly, every winter when the hotel closes, the cats leave the premises and live in the bushes by the roads surrounding the hotel. There are wonderful people, we call them rescuers, who feed and care for the cats across Cyprus in the absence of tourists and their food, love and care for the cats.

Hunter is approximately 7 years old now and has only one eye. As he ages, he will find winters harder and harder. We also fear him being hit by a vehicle. He might be a solid, hardy boy, but he’s getting on a bit😓

We don’t want him to lose his life, or sustain a serious injury, which is what happened to a cat called Thor in December 2023.

So, what to do? Well… we would really like your help in raising money to get him off the street, prepared for travel and ultimately, adoption overseas.

We know so many of you who have stayed at the hotel have enjoyed his company. We want him to have a warm comfy bed to sleep in year round. Please help us achieve this😻🇨🇾🫶🏻
